This update introduces several powerful new capabilities designed to modernize the user experience, expand document handling capabilities, and bring smarter automation into your daily workflows.

What’s New in 5.36

  •  Modern UI now available for all users!

    Enjoy a refreshed, more accessible QAction experience with improved navigation, responsive layouts, and full workflow support all designed to help you work more efficiently.

    Simply choose “Switch to Modern UI” under your user profile dropdown menu to try it out. We welcome any and all feedback as you explore the new UI!

     

  • Edit documents directly in your browser
    You can now open and edit common file types (including Word and other Office formats) directly in QAction without needing to download them first.

  • Introducing QSign digital signatures
    QAction now includes native digital signature functionality, allowing users to sign .docx, .pdf, and .doc files with full audit trails, consent tracking, and support for multiple signatures.

  • Foundation for more advanced search and auto-classification
    New under-the-hood smart discovery capabilities enable similarity search, auto-classification, and auto-indexing across documents helping users find and organize information faster.

  • More flexible downloads and previews
    Users can now choose to download files as a ZIP in their original format or as PDFs, and document previewing now supports additional file types with improved native rendering.

  • Enhanced enterprise identity integration
    Integration with DoW’s enterprise identity provider now supports automated account provisioning and centralized user profile management through a Master User Record.

Bug Fixes

  •  Document handling fixes: Title auto-population now works correctly when adding documents to checklists via browse or drag-and-drop

  • Workflow email improvements: Email CC handling now aligns with folder configurations, and submitter notifications now correctly include assignee email addresses

  • Notification accuracy: Task notification emails now correctly populate all custom fields
