QAction 5.37 is now live! Here's what's new in this release.
This update introduces major enhancements to the modern QAction experience, expands intelligent document management capabilities, improves accessibility and enterprise integration, and delivers a wide range of reliability and usability improvements across the platform.
What’s New
Continued modernization of the QAction experience
The modern UI continues to evolve with expanded functionality and usability enhancements, including checklist views for documents, batch and split operations during document upload, and a broad set of interface refinements and bug fixes. Users can continue exploring the modern experience by selecting “Switch to Modern UI” from the user profile dropdown menu.
Improved open-ended search results
Searches that previously returned too many results to display will now return the first set of results sorted by most recently modified, helping users quickly access the most relevant content instead of encountering a dead end.
Expanded accessibility and Section 508 compliance support
This release includes targeted accessibility enhancements designed to strengthen Section 508 compliance. Automated accessibility scanning has also been integrated into the development pipeline to proactively identify and prevent regressions before release.
Flexible enterprise identity provider support
QAction now supports integration with any OIDC-compliant identity provider, giving organizations greater flexibility to connect QAction with their preferred enterprise authentication and identity management solution.
Infrastructure and platform enhancements
Version 5.37 also introduces infrastructure-level improvements, including support for secure container deployments, dependency upgrades, and foundational telemetry and behavioral analytics capabilities that will help guide future product improvements.
Bug Fixes
Notification reliability improvements: Saved search email notifications and immediate object email notifications now function correctly and send reliably.
Modern UI fixes and refinements: Export jobs now correctly include all selected columns and applied filters, saved inbox search results now return expected results, and switching between legacy and modern UI now preserves user context.
Document handling and preview improvements: COLD files dated prior to 2022 now render and download correctly, Gmail plug-in emails now preview properly, and document title tooltips now display the full document name on hover.
Workflow and indexing fixes: Auto-indexing now correctly populates Document Type fields, and the Initiate Workflow toggle is now available when uploading documents into workflow-enabled folders.
Usability enhancements: The classification hierarchy selector now automatically scrolls to the previously selected value instead of resetting to the top of the hierarchy tree.
