What's Coming in 5.36?

QAction version 5.36 is releasing the week of April 13!

This release introduces several major capabilities that expand what teams can do directly inside QAction from modernizing the user experience to introducing powerful new tools for document discovery and collaboration.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:

Modern UI now ready for broader use
The next phase of the modern QAction interface is here. With improved navigation, responsive layouts, and accessibility enhancements, users can now perform their full workload in the refreshed UI with a smoother, more streamlined experience.

Edit documents directly in your browser
QAction now supports document editing, allowing users to open and edit common file types directly in the browser without downloading them first.

New AI-powered document discovery capabilities
This release lays the foundation for vector-based similarity search, enabling smart indexing suggestions and the ability to automatically identify related documents and records across the system.

Introducing QSign digital signatures
QAction now includes a native digital signature capability that allows organizations to collect legally binding electronic signatures on documents within the platform.

Expanded enterprise identity support
Development continues on integration with DoW’s enterprise identity provider, strengthening enterprise identity and access management support for organizations using advanced authentication environments.

Improved file downloads and previews
Users can now download collections of files as a ZIP without automatically converting them to PDFs, and the document preview experience now supports additional file types like images.

As always, we’ve also included a number of under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes to keep QAction running smoothly.

There’s nothing you need to do to take advantage of these updates, everything will be available as part of the upcoming release.

If you have questions or want help enabling optional features, your QFlow support team is happy to help.
